Grace Episcopal Church of Cedar Rapids records, 1850-1967.

Includes church correspondence, mintues, and financial records of the Vestry; Extensive accounts of the Church's early history and correspondence related to that history. Much of the early correspondence is to or from Judge George Greene. Also contains material on the founding of Griswold College and St. Luke's Hospital. Records are largely photocopies of the originals held at the Church.

George Greene was a lawyer and businessman in pioneer Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He helped found Coe College, he built Greene's Opera House, and was president of the Burlington, Cedar Rapids & Minnesota Railroad. George Green married Francis R.
